Crafty Wolf Lager Label

Golden Jackal Ale Label

I made these designs for my A-Level Minor Coursework for which I was awarded 198/200. I had my mind set on a beer-related project because of a newfound interest in beermats: they can be intricate, simplistic, typography-based, have characters, jokes, competitions, different shapes, and even be parts of a set. Consequently, I made my project about Wolf Brewery (Attleborough, Norfolk).
My thinking for my label designs was that enticing and detailed designs would have a higher likelihood of being picked off a shelf. In the current beer scene, craft beers from microbreweries have sky-rocketed and  can designs from breweries such as FLOC. and Mikkeller are very detailed and colorful; therefore it is important not to be forgotten or ignored for old and bland cans and bottles.
Throughout the project, I used Adobe Illustrator and I also taught myself how to use Procreate on an iPad, for illustrations (to the right is my first drawing). In the end, my final designs came to the logo, at the top of the page, which I then made 3D for my label. I also made the wolf and jackal with continuity in mind, so the designs could be very unique whilst being easily recognized as Wolf Brewery.
